Freeform Pavilion – Ground Zero

The project was to create a pavilion on ground zero that became a space for people to learn and understand the square’s history and the tragic event of 9/11. The main factors that influence the structure of the pavilion are the orientation and view towards the squares monumental ponds of either side. We created a social meeting place with impressive views and combined a memorial space for the 9/11 victims.
